Hyundai Engine & Machinery keeps leading in Methanol duel fuel engines

Hyundai Mipo Shipyard (HMD, South Korea) has delivered dual-fuel methanol carrier installed Hyundai-MAN 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIM for Japanese shipping company.

Also, in the Guangzhou Shipyard International(GSI, China based), the first of methanol duel fuel MR tankers have been successfully launched.

Hyundai Engine & Machinery (HHI-EMD) provided the Hyundai-MAN 6G50ME-C9.6-LGIM engines for the both shipyards, now well proven as Methanol engine supplier.

HHI-EMD has already delivered fourteen(14) engine sets of 2-stroke methanol engines and secured seventeen(17) engine sets on its order book.

On the other hand, as the recently announced, the HiMSEN’s first methanol engine (4-stroke medium speed engine) will be delivered to HMD for 2,000TEU Container project in the end of 2022.
